Flamengo Loses to Al Hilal in FIFA Club World Cup Semifinal

In a thrilling encounter at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier, Morocco, Al Hilal Riyadh defeated Flamengo 3-2 in the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup.

Flamengo took an early lead through Pedro's strike in the 20th minute. However, Salem Al-Dawsari equalized for Al Hilal just before halftime from the penalty spot.

In the second half, Gerson restored Flamengo's advantage in the 45th minute. Undeterred, Al Hilal fought back and scored two more goals through Luciano Vietto in the 70th minute and Salem Al-Dawsari again in the 90th minute to secure the victory.

With this win, Al Hilal became the first Saudi Arabian club to reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup. They will face Real Madrid in the championship game on February 11.
